About Me

I am a graduate student at the University of Texas at Dallas pursuing my Masters in Information Technology & Management (a.k.a MIS). I wanted to leverage on my previous experience in the technological space, sharpen my skills further and benefit from the wide plethora of knowledge tracks provided by the ITM course structure. The ITM program of the Naveen Jindal School of Management has provided me with the right platform to grow both personally and professionally. Let me provide a quick outline of my journey so far!

I have worked as a full-stack developer for a Fortune 500 company and I've always enjoyed the freedom it gives me to innovate

I am fascianted by databases and the task of extracting large datasets and refining it to suit the business requirememnts excites me

I love telling a story. Making a beautiful and compelling presentation using the available data is one of my favorite skills.

I want to utilize my experience working in an Agile method of development thereby learning the role of each member of the team

  • Providing a balance between offering quick solutions and a commitment to writing concise, maintainable and reusable software
  • The ability to develop reliable, maintainable, efficient code in most of Java, Python, JavaScript, SQL and R with additional experience in frontend technologies like AngularJS, HTML5, CSS3 learned for providing technical support to my application
  • Strong knowledge of various data warehousing and data modeling concepts with exposure to Oracle SQL, PL/SQL
  • Extended exposure of Agile methodology with the usage of tools like JIRA, Microsoft Teams, Tortoise SVN, Git and Jenkins
  • Experience with IDEs such as Eclipse, Intellij Idea, Netbeans, RStudio. Additionally, worked with Junit, SoapUI, PostmanAPI, Git, SVN in my previous workplaces and highly proficient with Microsoft Office applications like Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Access
  • Knowledge of big data concepts under Hadoop framework- HDFS, MapReduce, Hive, Impala, Sqoop, Oozie, YARN, Kafka, Apache Spark learned as part of the course structure with hands-on experience obtained in assignments and projects
  • As part of curriculum, gained exposure to several tools including, but not limited to Tableau, PowerBI, QlikView, Jupyter Notebook, Cloudera Manager, VMware Workstation, SAP: HANA, Business Objects, Predictive Analytics, Netweaver, BEx Query Designer
